A POSTMAN has appeared in court accused of stealing cash from about 500 cards and parcels in the run-up to Christmas.
Ashley Duree, 28, made a brief appearance at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court today to face two charges of theft by employee.
He is accused of stealing at least 465 packages belonging to the Royal Mail and containing between £600 and £1,000 from November 1 to December 10 last year.
Duree, of Western Fold, Buttershaw, Bradford, did not indicate a plea to either charge.
He was granted unconditional bail by magistrates to appear at Bradford Crown Court on May 20.
