It will cost us more to send mail from Jersey next month.
Jersey Post has increased the price of sending letters locally and to the UK, by a penny and 3p respectively.
The cost of sending mail further afield has also gone up.

The firm says the price increases reflect three key pressures:
High cost increases from key network partner- Royal Mail
Dramatic increases in the cost of transporting airmail, following the removal of the newspapers from the plane.
Financial impact of falling letter volumes, as well as an increasing number of households to which Jersey Post must deliver.
As an organisation we are facing the most difficult year yet in terms of external costs, so we have tried to ensure that any price changes in 2016 are reflected in those services where some of the additional costs are being directly incurred.
– TIM BROWN, JERSEY POST CHIEF EXECUTIVE
