don`t get it why keep us in the dark for so long you would think something would be sorted by now one way or the other morale is down on the ground in our office and many others i would think.time to sort this out one way or another.

whilst we all feel a little like that right now we have to trust our union are doing the right thing for the right reasons . . . . there may well be an explanation for the secrecy and for now we must trust that is the case and continue support for our union and ultimately ourselves . . . . there will, no doubt, be many questions asked when this is all over, about the handling of it all, but let's wait untill then before backing our boys up against the wall

Talks between the union and Royal Mail were held today at the TUC. Those talks have continued onto this evening and will continue tomorrow.

A Full PEC has been called for 12pm tommorow

I think it is likely that Royal Mail have simply said the position reached last Friday stands.

The PEC have rejected this now Royal Mail have agreed to proper talks tonight/tom and final document will be put before PEC at midday tom. At least we'll know once and for all where we are tom afternoon / eve!

A further report will be made tomorrow.

if you hold strong with the "doing the job properly" campaign you won't break into the backlog at all and therefore loose any ground in our industrial action . . . . . . it's down to you to keep up the resistance, not the union bosses

i just think the union would get even more support if they let us know what was going on. at our office we have several people saying it isn`t working etc, but if the union said something they may feel different.

This is rubbish, Mail Centres haven't even started receiving the backlogged mailsort which is nearly two weeks old. In additon to this the network changes on Monday will cause absolute chaos and only add to the backlog!!!
