According to the news its due to a 2 billion (£2,000 million) shortfall in the budget. So that works out to £2,000,000,000 divided by 2,500 equal to £80,000 per job. Hey they must get paid even more than our £400 (according to Al and Adam) plus per week.

Do i feel for them, well they can always apply for a part time job in RM.

Don't start me on that lot! What sort of job is it that can be held by all kinds of imbeciles, inbreds, drunkards and the criminally insane?

Blimey IWW, I know you're talking about the 'Royals' but you've just described most of my DO! No really, just add a few swear words and you've got management as well. By the way I'm only 3 out of the 4 you've listed. :dance

Lets petition the Government to scrap the BBC and license fee - the BBC is an outdated and redundant institution which cant compete in todays global entertainment circus or movies, videogames and internet.

Giving Jonathan Woss £6m per annum is a worse crime than awarding Adam Crozier £1m...

1. I am all for workers standing up for their rights and what the BBC are doing includes compulsory redundancies so I have sympathy as a "Union" man.

However.

2. During our dispute the journalists on the BBC called us stuck in the past and unwilling to change. Now that their bosses will use the same Modernisation argument against them should we be so willing to support them.

It's not all journo jobs going - will be technical staff and the rest who have absolutely no effect on news coverage. Advantage of this is that it'll be at least one strike that'll get a lot of media coverage, at least some of it positive, so may increase awareness of how much these are all connected.

Oh and sorry for more spam  but it's not just Nicholas Witchell who's a celebrity scab

Don't start me on that lot! What sort of job is it that can be held by all kinds of imbeciles, inbreds, drunkards and the criminally insane? There's no interview or aptitude test. The only qualification being that you can trace your family all the way back to the offspring of a French whore and a Norman 'nobleman' with a Dutch skeleton and a German DIY enthusiast thrown in for good measure.
Just look at this latest lot holding down the job. There's Uncle Eddie, who married the Yank chancer. Eddie is a big admirer of Adolf Hitler. The idea of the top boy in the British Empire having a downer of people with dark skins should have been enough to exclude him from the job, but no. They're more worried about him seeing to a divorcee, so out he goes to a cushy number in the Bahamas.
Then there's "Britain's Best Loved Granny". The Dubonnet soaked anti-semite with the permanent smile who spent all her time watching horse racing. You would be called a layabout if you lived like that. Her daughter was last seen doing any type of work in 1945 when, as a member of the ATS, she was filmed waving a spanner over the engine of an Austin staff car. She then marries a mad sailor with connections to the Greek royal family. They were so unpopular with the Greeks that Churchill had to make sure they were returned to the throne by sending the British Army there. Now the sailor goes off and insults India and China. That's how bloody mad he is. He doesn't insult some Pacific Island with a standing army of six lads armed with spears and a second hand Sopwith Camel for an air force. Oh, no. He insults the two countries with the biggest populations on the planet and who both have the atom bomb. Bloody nugget.
Then there's the clothes horse. Imagine her living next door? Army officers, shop owners sons, the England rugby union captain. All that coming and going! Then there's that chip off the old block she married. Talking to plants and wishing he was a sanitary towel! This is the next king we're talking about. They should be certified, the bloody lot of them. They say the Yanks think the world of them. They might do, but notice the Yanks aren't in any hurry to have their own royal family. No bloody wonder!

Britain's best loved granny was very sympathetic to South Africa and President De Klerk , right wing to the point of barking . There's the little bit about Queen Victoria being Kaisser Bill's cousin. So people swore their allegiance to the king but got shot to buggery by a distant relative , thanks to that idiot Butcher Haig in WW1 .The family name was changed from Saxe-Coburg to Windsor-Mountbatten after the king is a hun adverse publicity in WW1.
There has been a few less than PC outbursts from Princess Pushy who even that interbred Germanic Shower said she was more royal than the rest of us !.Princess Margreat fag-ash Lil and her liking for a gin or 10.
I used to love Viz Comic's photo story skits on that neurotic attention seeking drama queen , pictures of her having sex with tramps and going in the showers with the rest of that toffee-nosed shower playing ra-ra made me laugh along with her going into phone boxes to do her daily 50 Harassment Calls to someone else's missus .
Unfortunately they had to withdraw a skit edition after that unfortunate accident .Fancy sending bloody flowers to someone you've never met , the flower shops must have pissed themselves laughing all the way to the bank !. Stupid Emotional Incontinence from a lot of sad people . To be fair she did try and get Betty Saxe-Coburg & co kicking and screaming into this century & at one time would have been thrown in the Tower & publically executed .
Then there's fat arsed Fergie the twin with one head , & "theatricial" Uncle Eddie stalking his nephew with his film company.
Viz comic's latest edition has the DI-POD , I liked the bits about Diana shooting a deer up the arse & the gamekeeper having to finish it off & telling her Chauffeur to rescue a one-legged tramp from Regent's Park Canal.

I can actually remember going to Prince's Trust Concerts @ Wembley Arena when I worked in London as there wasn't much work up here and was actually proud to be in the same room as Princess Diana & Prince Tampax . My Grandad who was in the Royal Engineers worked as a bus driver for Liverpool Corporation used to stand to attention when the BBC played the National Anthem @ close down. The Orange Lodge Band used to practice at his house and i've uncles who went on their marches .
I turned against them with Richard Littlejohn's articles in other people's copies of The Sun as I got more politically aware & cynical.
The press were quite happy to force feed people with a diet of the Royal Family to deflect attention away from the Tory Politics of the time .
Liked your post , it's in the style of Richard Littlejohn without the dodgy turncoat right wing populalist politics in right wing rags .

What a shame the BBC are going to loose a couple of 1000 jobs. You will not get my sympathy due to your biased reporting on the Postal Strike where there will be up to 40,000 job loses, now the boot is on the other foot you make sure its the top headlines, where as the Postal Strike was put on the back burner. Its about time the TV licence was abolished due to all the repeats shown, thank goodness there are a couple of hundred more channels to choose from. The BBC are stuck in the past.

Oh dear, BBC and Royal Mail both in trouble. What's the country coming to?
House prices at their peak too. I've been investigating my options. I quite like the look of this;
