Tributes after sudden death of young Eastbourne woman

Tributes have been paid following the sudden death of a 29-year-old postwoman from Eastbourne.

Carla Warren died on February 10.

Her family said she was a beloved daughter, treasured sister and much loved granddaughter and partner.

Miss Warren worked as a postwoman in Eastbourne at the town’s main post office in Southfields Road.

Born and bred in Eastbourne, she attended Parkland infant and junior schools, Ratton School and studied at Sussex Downs before working at Axa Insurance.

Her parents Tina and Duncan said their daughter was a “wonderful person” who was an avid Manchester United fan and also enjoyed playing football with friends and her partner Nick Allcorn. She previously played for Eastbourne Town and Eastbourne Borough ladies teams.

Kristie Smith said her older sister also enjoyed playing computer games.

“She was a massive gamer,” said Kristie, “and she would also organise games for the family to play at Christmas. She was a real character.”

A funeral service takes place on Tuesday March 8 at 2.30pm at Eastbourne Crematorium. The family says flowers are welcome but only red and white to mark Miss Warren’s love of Man United.

Donations can also be made to Raystede via Adela Funeral Homes as Miss Warren’s family said she loved animals and often went out walking with one of her two cats.
