It is reassuring, (as a newbie) to know that I'm not the only one who thinks this mag is dubious. It reminds me of another magazine I used to regularly get which sought to 'brainwash' readers into the publisher's way of thinking; making out that everything was a-ok within the 'company.'

There are certainly a lot of unhappy employees within RM - contrary to what Courier suggests.

Whenever anyone from delivery makes a good suggestion it gets shot down in flames and any mention of how cr@p the uniform is gets the standard reply of its the best there is and has been fully tested.
It just goes to show how out of touch these people are with what the real job involves.
Never mind I see that the callers office may start selling carrier bags soon, that'll save us.
If carrier bags then why not groceries too and get some of the profit supermarkets are making. :nana
Ah, and Dear Courier, Why are our canteens empty most of the day when we could be selling coffees to everyone collecting their parcels ? Starbucks and Costa do well enough out of it. :cuppa :thumbup

I believe it's just part of the Investors in People Scheme. Companies that wish accreditation have to show that they communicate regularly with their workforce....hence The Courier! Some large prestigious companies will not deal with other companies unless they're part of the Investors in People Scheme...But you're right it's all BULLSHIT! :cuppa

Not only that, but having to drive to town and pay to park I expect being offered a 5p bag could produce interesting reactions.
The carrier bag charge is supposed to go to charity
There seems to be some inconsistencies here. Only a few, nonths ago, the idea received short shrift, due to environmental concerns, yawn ,blah, blah. Then, the very next week we get Salvation Army bags as D2D. Make your mind up someone. Perhaps we could use the spare bags in the Callers Office.
