my guess would be the emergency meeting would be to formally reject the agreement and give 7 days notice of a 48 hour strke next friday and saturday

Why the f**k were this weeks strikes cancelled (wednesday onwards). You can`t turn a s**t deal into a good one with a few 'minor adjustments'. If they announce more strike dates for next week I`m gonna hear nothing but whingeing at work. To be honest I can`t really blame them either. It really is feeling like both sides are ganging up on us, CWU deliberately pissing off its members. I so want us to beat the f**k out of L&C with a well thought out campaign of sustained official strike action but it`s like going into battle against Ming the Merciless with Julian Clary as your leader. Hold on maybe he can do a better job.
If it`s a crap deal they should have thrown it back at RM on monday when they were meant to make the decision. Obviously they must have thought it was pretty good and just a formality for the PEC to approve, otherwise they would have met at the weekend with some urgency....
RM are opening 'deferred centres' and staffing them with agency, it`s surely to store work from any backlogs and process too. RM are drawing up battle plans while the union dither. CWU have gone back to RM like Oliver Twist asking for more and being told to f**k off.
If this war is lost then in my eyes the union will be as much to blame as RM due to it`s total incompetence.
RM f**k up our pensions and expect us to pay for their mistakes, CWU f**k up our strike action and expect us to pay for their mistakes. I see a pattern emerging.

check out my post in news this could all off been a delaying tactic if they are going to do a full efficency review they have had time to set up the support for a long struggle

Strangler, it certainly looks that way. If this isn't to announce new strike dates then that decision might be taken out of their hands anyway.
