A NEW post box has been installed at Sainsbury’s in Chapelford after the original post box was removed more than a year and a half ago.
Cllr Faisal Rashid said that he contacted Royal Mail to get the post box reinstalled but it was a challenging process.
He worked with Sainsbury’s and Chapelford residents and the new post box was put in on February 12.
“We had to put our case forward – it’s a huge community now and it needs to be there,” said Cllr Rashid.
“We are very happy and I am personally very happy to be involved.”
Chapelford residents have thanked Cllr Rashid, with Barbara Collins saying: “Thank you so much Faisal that is excellent news. It has been such a pain without it.”
Collection times are Monday to Friday, 4pm, Saturday, 11am, Sunday, no collection.
