I have travelled all over America, 33 States if I am counting , there is one constant USPS is everywhere and unusual for a Capitalist driven society, the USPS is kept Federal because they know how essential it is and they also know it will never make a profit if privatised, it would political suicide to do so.
Shame our Government doesn't realise that.

some parts of the US is very remote and I have been to some right remote spots including a few Ghost Towns that no longer has anyone living in them because they are too far off the beaten track and there is no Gold to keep them there, a couple have been preserved with the Obligatory Pony Express post office  no that is a sharp contrast to the overcrowded mega expensive cities such as LA, NY, Chicago wasn't too bad, New Orleans is a mess they haven't fixed much beyond Downtown, outside of it, is like a set from the Omega man, there are some really dramatic scenery such as the Montana in the original post, the rocky mountains is breathtaking, Canada rocky mountains is very striking and beautiful too. I like to go back.

I wouldn't mind being a Postie in either country, Canada is slightly better as they have universal medicare, having said that I prefer my British nationality, unless this country gets overrun and becomes Talibanistan , I would move for that reason.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Well it has been said that I am not particular - but on this occasion - I think I prefer the wolf/dog to the post lady - she actually looked bald - mind you put a couple of Tesco bags over her head - oh go on then.
