6 hr deliveries using a combo van that's not big enough or fit for purpose on a 4hr delivery .

I already do a 6 hour delivery on a rural 8 hour day weekday 7 on a Sat. Struggle with specials, but am used to it after 3 years on it

That'd more likely be 08:00-17:45 or even 09:00-18:45, with RM wanting later acceptance times for stuff, work's going to leave the MCs for DOs later

About an hour and half, rest is bridle roads bumpy but slow. I work 8 til 16 00, just saying if it happens you can get used to it Mind you miss finishing at 12 00 those were the days.

What do you mean if it happens you can get used to it? You do an hour and a half walking ffs! When the term 6 hour deliveries is banded about it is referring to ~6 hours of walking! Do you not see where the difference lies?

You do the equivalent of 2 loops of walking delivery per day!

Now, no disrespect, I am sure you are a hard-worker as are the rurals in my office

, but you need to realise why, for the majority of delivery staff, 6 hour deliveries is a complete nightmare scenario!

Six-hour deliveries remain a Royal Mail wet dream, rather than a tangible reality, at the present moment. There are so many products that cannot be incorporated into the workload without requiring actual prep that we remain a long way away from anything approaching a six-hour delivery, no matter how much RM would love for us to spend our whole shift pounding the streets.

You say this but it works in Europe. And as a result of 6 hour outdoor time less apparently went sick

Don't fancy it as I won't have energy for anything after work. No thank. If we work 6 days a week I won't be able to dance in the weekends. So no thanks.

It's on board in my office will take a photo.

Then again in Canada when Moya took over there grievances went up 70% sick went up 30% and no they don't have a daily to door delivery because of her. As soon as our USO goes that's gunna happen here too
