Dogs in my area are sneeky b****ds...

Post by MartinMail »

They are silent, right until the moment your fingers are in the letterbox. Finger almost got taken off twice today, had to smack hit one in the face with my loaded bag...

:Boo hoo! :Boo hoo! :Boo hoo! :Boo hoo!

Another thing iPods and dogs don't go well together. Can't hear, the ones that are not sneeky, coming...

Some members of the public are so thick. I have one shredder on my duty, when i have a regt packet they open the door whilst holding back dog with collar. Growling and snapping at me (dog that is) Why the hell can't they put it in another room? :d'oh! :d'oh! Then it's the usual" it's alright he won't hurt you" Thick as s**t or what?

someone was moving the other day and they had left the door open. The dog came out and was growling at me then started to run at me, taking no chances i kicked it in the face, nothing hard but it got its attention, the owner came out and called it back in.

Kids are the worst at half term, they open the door them selfs when the dog is trying to get out to get at you. when the parents would of put the dog away first.

I am most impressed by my brother-in-law's postlady - having realised that the dog was jumping up at the door and barking and puncturing the letters, she now pops a chew through the door first (at her own expense) which placates the dog and prevents the mail getting chewed. The dog now knows the chew is coming first and so sits patiently and waits for it.
A nice, thoughtful lady!

I'd rather get bitten than give something away for free...

Some little f****r (dog) decided to go for my shoes today....the temptation to boot the f**k out it was overwhelming, but......

Only last week a Bull Mastiff pissed all over my pouch - didn't have the heart to boot f**k outta that one though :nervous

too late for me

Post by Himaggen »

I've just got back from hospital, they've just re-attached my finger end, (dog bite through letterbox, on Thursday, unfamiliar walk).

Apparently the Police say they can't do anything because the dog was in it's own house. Work says that Royal Mail's Policy is that you don't put your fingers into any letterbox!

All I know is that there was no dog warning card on the frame, I've no idea how it's possible to post without ever placing fingers in a position where they cannot be got at, it hurts like hell and this onscreen keyboard is a ball ache too.

I could be out of action for months, and that's if it takes, what do I do?

TIA

Make sure it has been recorded at work as an accident on duty - then they can't give you a stage for time off sick. And keep your copy of the report. Also inform your CWU Rep and Health and Safety officer.
