Was gonna do the same myself, but then heard from another poster on here that the union (us) are due a vote soon on continuation of the political levy or not,and that if you sign individually to opt out, then we dont then get a chance to vote on mass to stop the contributions.

Would be nice if someone in the know could confirm this or not as I'm champing at the bit to stop giving to Maggie Thatchers Labour :evil/mad

NEC not PEC all sections of the union will decide not just the postal section!

Why not sell the idea of quitting the labour party to the other sections of the CWU, I will find out about what the telecoms side have to say.

That is correct, the vote will be political levy paying members only as its there money and NOT the money of those who do not pay the political levy that goes to Labour.

One the CWU members decide no more money is going to Labour, I'll opt back in. Then all we've gotto do then is stop The Voice being turned into a Labour Party propaganda sheet every time there's an election.

Almost all of my office has filled them in, and we as reps are encouraging them as well. Gone are the days when we could rely on OUR party supporting us, at least with the Tories you knew they were going to shaft you, with this lot, they hold us down and let Crozeir do it. Get everyone to fill the form in, money is the only thing Brown knows about. Hit him where it hurts....oh god I miss Tony...lol
