A Birmingham road was closed for several hours after a crash between a car and a Royal Mail van.
Edward Road in Balsall Heath was set to be shut for four hours between Hallam Street and Moseley Road until around 2pm on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the junction on Lincoln Street at 10am, after the crash between the silver VW Golf and the Volvo post van.
Initial reports suggested that someone was trapped in one of the vehicles, but fire crews said that the person had managed to free themselves by the time officers from Highgate Fire Station arrived at the scene.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police told the Mail: “We were called out today at 10.01 am after reports of a road traffic collision.
“We expect the road to be closed for the next couple of hours while emergency services deal with the incident.”
