Working on same job over 2 years

Post by Charles813 »

Hi any ideas or agreements in place regarding if you have been doing/covering the same duty over 2years
Does that duty then become yours as you have covered it thanks

Nope no one owns a duty no matter how long they have covered it or whether or not you have signed for it. Management can move you whenever they like due to operational needs.
Union what Union? Do we have a union?

the agreement is that if it has been vacant for more than 6 months then it goes up for signing, then the most senior person who wants it gets it, if its been vacant for 2 years then the rep needs a kick up the backside to get it put up for signing sooner rather than later

What if it's an ad hoc duty that's been in place for 2 years?
