The whole site at NWDC today. I am a 'Fllexible Resourcing Employee' on my contract. Do I have any entitlement to get an hours pay or similar for my inconvenience (I drive quite a long way to work a shift).
I was told by the security guy that there were only drivers working on site - all other shifts cancelled. He said to go and see the Transport Manager. So I spend 20 minutes looking for and then waiting for the Transport Manager who at least noted my name and said he would email Angard....but there were 20 other people who didn't bother to take this step and just got back in their cars straight away. Is there anything for me here or do I have no rights? Cannot see this explicitly stated in my contract. Heard about shifts being cancelled by text before but I didn't even get that.

No you do not get any sort of compensation. It happens people get booked then their shift gets cancelled when they get there. Some people even made 20+ mile journey and they complain to angard and dont get anything out of it.
