No
Wrong the rest of the UK is working on 2 Jan = it's only Scotland that aren't.DemonPostie wrote:As I understand it, Scotland are going to get one fewer days off than their brothers and sisters south of the border.

3.4 Saturday, 2 January is not a Bank Holiday in Scotland in 2016. It is a designated non-USO day in Scotland (as agreed in perpetuity by Postcomm in 2009 instead of Monday, 4 January when the date falls on a Saturday).
They aren't ignoring Scottish Posties, they are ignoring miss-informed posties, and reps who didn't even check the facts before they went to HQ.DemonPostie wrote:So we held a vote to ballot for strike action. Not a proper strike, but just a single-day strike on the 4th, to restore the balance. *EVERY SINGLE* member in my office voted in favour, so our local and area reps took it to the national union. And they said No, we can't.
WHAT THE f**k? Why is the CWU ignoring Scottish posties?
To make sure people understand ONLY SCOTLAND IS GETTING 2 JAN AS A NON-SERVICE DAY.
I wonder how many times we have to repeat this before Christmas
