ROYAL Mail staff in Weston-super-Mare have been working hard to raise thousands of pounds for numerous good causes.
The town’s delivery office has become a hub of charitable events with 15 members of its staff taking part in Dragon Boat races, charity car boot sales, skittles nights and raffles.
They have raised £1,800 for the Stroke Association and £250 for the Lighthouse charity, which is based in Weston.
Delivery office manager, Dan Riddle, said: “We wanted to give something positive back to the community.
“I am extremely proud of the commitment of our social and charity group and I am sure we will go from strength to strength.”
A spokesman from Royal Mail said: “We are always delighted when our people go the extra mile in the communities where they live and work. The postmen and women in Weston have really shown their caring natures with their impressive fundraising efforts.”
