Good afternoon.
I applied for a casual position some weeks ago and I keep getting e-mails detailing such vacancies at Warrington, but when I click on the link to apply and log-in, I'm informed that I've already applied for the position. Does this mean that I'm still under consideration, or are there no jobs available?
Could you let me know, please and I'll stop opening the e-mails if there is no job?
Thanks.

Re: CHRISTMAS CASUALS 2015
If you look on RM's Christmas jobs website, it still lists Warrington lates. There are 15 job shifts listed, 5 of which are at Ipswich. The shift that I am on is listed & like you keep getting emails. However, we (our shift) have still not been security cleared! Maybe you are in the same situation? Anyway, our shift are going to turn up Monday either way! When I emailed the helpline I was told to do this! This is "Angard 2011" all over again!

Re: CHRISTMAS CASUALS 2015
It's still all rubbish.
Seems that they didn't get as many app for Xmas Casuals at Soton Mail Centre so they called in about 20-30 Manpower, SRS and Pertemps lot so the "full-time" Angard lot are turning around and going "what" and even a couple of the Managers have been going "Why can't we get some of the Angard lot in that know the system to help out" but it was an upper management decision.
Sad thing is that this way they will lose a lot of hard trusted workers as nowdays you have to keep on putting up with getting low wage packets nowdays and a rude contact at Angard.

I have looked into this for you and been told that as part of the Christmas resourcing plan Angard and all sites are asked to verify the number of Angard casuals that have been used over the previous weeks and this number is always accounted for in our overall Christmas resource plan.
With regards Southampton they are currently running at 20% below their traffic forecast so there is an overall reduction in all casuals until w/c 30/11. As such the issue is that the office have far too much resource and have had to stand some people down (including Manpower agency workers). Unfortunately at the moment the traffic levels are much lower than resourced against but hopefully will change for you over the next few weeks.

Thanks.
Well I see how things go upto Xmas and then make a decision in January - but with this and the politics just getting to the point when I just had enough.

Portsmouth. We had loads of [RM] applicants put on the Reserve List then loads of Manpower turned up, while Reserve List not called in. Couple of Wise Virgins had signed up for both RM & MPower. Must remember that next year.Borusa1976 wrote:It's still all rubbish.

What disaster happened at Warrington for us in Portsmouth to get 40 Yorks of WA/WN/CW/L to sort today? Must say I've learned a lot about your locale.Dannii2390 wrote:I'm currently at Warrington mail centre and according to indeed there are still positions going for night staff

Re: CHRISTMAS CASUALS 2015
Tell me about it - just 5 hours this week and been asked if I would be interested in working down Poole which would be 80 miles round trip per night with no extra £ for diesel....
Might just have to take it so I get "SOMETHING" this week or Xmas.
