Stormproof jackets, do as the nice man in the courier letters page suggested. If it's leaking order another and send leaking one back with a circle drawn where it is letting water in! Didn't half laugh at that one! Do these people ever do the job in 4-5hrs of rain? I guess not.RedBagMan wrote:... plus other "tools for the job" ...

Re: no tools for the job
There are offices that have new ones yet??? But yeah, using the now surplus older ones rather than junking them would be sensible. If nothing else, take the working batteries (some are better than others based on my office) and the PDAs with screens that are still legible and use them to replace batteries & PDAs in other offices that don't meet those standards would be sensible.portadown wrote:Pdas what about all the offices that have the new ones what happened to the old ones from these offices could thy not be send round the other offices

Re: no tools for the job
It's absolutely laughable that we have now got so many companies to change to the tracked product, Amazon's "Delivery Scanned", extra parcel duties, callers office needing customer collected scans and extra collection sweeps.eastie wrote:Not enough PDA's for duties with tracked having to be scanned when you get back to the officeafter writing them down on paper(If its still open)
Not enough vans to do the van duties with 2 borrowed which were not roadworthy and the back doors wouldn't shut.
Good start
Yet they still don't see this as an issue or a problem!
It's like going to tesco and saying listen all the tills are fully staffed, but you can use this cash register and swipe the card payments on this carbon copy machine, no it just doesn't happen!
Only Royal Mail can promise REAL TIME TRACKING from posting to delivery, safeplace, neighbour etc then send umpteen posties out with EPOD cards in the pissing rain, then scan ALL the items at once when they get BACK to the delivery office, so when they scan all nine tracked items at once on the EPOD, all nine customers get a text or email telling them its just been delivered causing CRT complaints and customers appearing at the callers looking for items that dont exist, really why promise all these companies real time tracking when they dont have the scope to do it, real time my A**E!!!!!!!
The new PDA roll out needs to be supported by utilising the old PDA's for the callers or scanning on collections.
The IT team used to swap out pda's for broken straps or pens, now they wont even do that.
Tell them parcels will not be getting delivered without PDA's on delivery, and i bet we soon get some spare refurbs appearing!
Fecking unbelievable!
