I work as a casual and it depends on amount of Christmas post and what the Manager decides.

Woring as a Christmas casual but there not been much work and we keep getting sent home and not getting paid.. On our Christmas casual worker terms of engagement book we signed it says..* I hereby consent to work to in excess of 48 hours on average per week during any period of engagement under this casual worker contract with Royal Mail...
Yet we don't get our hours and sent home unpaid surely this is not on..

This must be a zero hours contract then, I just think it was confusing because at this time of year you'd at least want to know
what hours of work you'd be working. Also with Christmas round the corner, it should be made clear in the contract that there are no
hours of work can be guaranteed
because some people still don't know what Zhr contracts are.
Can I ask if you don't mind what hours your working on average?
