Our mistakes are put on a whiteboard everyday - not scanned tracked/specials, missed postbox scans with our walk numbers against them. There is a least 1 or 2 missed everyday.
Get your rep to stop this bollox practice from happening!
Happens in our office. Have mentioned to Rep that this practice is very wrong. Name and shame really.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We also have a board with a list of the highest returned Tracked items per walk - lad who tops it gets ribbed about by colleagues saying to him, " well done 'Peter' top of the leader board again" he has a word with the Rep but he just says, your name isn't actually on the board only the walk number

We have the sort of the same - a 'Top 10' list on the wall of people bringing the most P739 items back. Also, being told that Tracked items 'MUST be gotten rid of on delivery' as this is what RM's P739 figures are based on and they don't want stuff brought back. One the few days that they have a big push on it they have a manager waiting at the door to check (usually they've gone home by 1pm):

"How many trackeds have you brought back?"
"Three."
*shakes head* "Not good enough. You HAVE TO get rid of the trackeds. Doesn't matter about ordinary packets but you CAN'T be bringing trackeds back."
"But if they're not in..."
"Did you try a neighbour?"
"Yes, both sides."
"What about across the street? Or another house on along the row?"
"You want me to knock on every door in the street until I get someone in?"
"You just need to get rid of those trackeds, the office has too many coming back. I'll see how you get on during the week."
*moves on to harrass another postie just coming back in of delivery*

:arrrghhh

Bunch of absolute retards.

Well the answer is simple really, why not scan it as delivered and lob it over the gate like some moron did at my house.
