It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Empire Strikes Back (Chapter V)

Post by bonehead_2002 »

What a rude man, calling me a prat! lol

What you'll find on this site is as soon you voice a slight difference of opinion then sit back and await the tsuami of abuse and vitriol. : :silenced

These dudes on here are mostly still thinking that Arthur Scargill won the miners strike and Michael Foot won the '83 election!!

There are one of two who can string a few decent words together in a coherent argument, but the majority of them still don't understand that the job is NOT a skilled or technical job but want to be paid a £1 shy of Adam... coz "they get up early and work for 5 out of 8hrs and bugger off on their 2nd job (cash-in-hand) of course!

Been in PF and RM sales for 18yrs, so I ain't no choir boy! :dance

I'm well aware of social and political history. I don't think the job is skilled or technical, nor do I want to earn as much as Leighton or Crozier, just a decent wage, with decent conditions and a few less management lackeys trying to stitch the job and RM up. I never finish early either, so I must be the exception. NOT. If you don't like what is said on this pro-union site, try a different one. :no no

Lack of Freedom of Speech

Post by bonehead_2002 »

Yes, this a pro-union site, so if you don't want other non-CWU people using it then restrict the access and then you can all talk to yourselves and have a great group-think discussion about how crap RM and the PEC are and how if you were in charge RM would make £4.75pa as that's what a "service" should do AND pay for a fully-funded pension...! :d'oh!

Have you ever thought why some of you would not make the managerial grade... is that you're useless and being a postman is the best you're gonna get.

If some of you didn't piss about in school and actually worked hard to get some decent exams, then a few of you could be doing something more rewarding and not having to put up with dumb militants playing the 1970's industrial game on your behalf. :nervous

And btw that has nowt to do with class and/or money... it's about personal application and the desire to get on!

And don't quote about 30 pieces of silver as it's far cheaper than some stupid wish to destroy the pension scheme for EVERYBODY to keep it open to people who haven't even been born and contributed nowt to it.

Phew, must do some selling... hold on it's time for me... :cuppa

and what is wrong with being a postman, someone has to deliver letters and just because they do, don't look down on or denigrate them.

Just because you don't find being a postman rewarding does not make it unrewarding, and why do you class militants as "dumb". Suffragettes were classed as militant in their time and now women can vote. It is disrespectful to call people idiots just because their political view is different to yours.

:dance
again why does your definition of "getting on" have more validity than those who want to remain as posties.

outdated militancy -now let me see , that usually stems from bad management & RM 's "solution " which is more bad "management " to stem it .
RM's management are poorly trained with few or no professional/vocational qualifications , failed posties that according to you messed about and didn't try & better theirselves .
A bullying management culture that exists for the benefit of it's own managers instead of running things
A management control with institutionalised bullying dating back from Demobilisation in 1945 , RM's "response" to the Lord Sawyer Report was a 1970's Command & Control Culture ( CMA statement NOT CWU ) . This worked well with IBM , once a worldwide leader now taken over by the Chinese Lenevo Company, staff going onto form firms like HP ,Compaq etc .
If the pendelum supposedly has swung to the 70's , does it make sense to turn the clock back to the Edwardian era or use the Victorian Millowner model for employee relations as "progress"?. Have you considered writing for the Sun of internet sites -Hellfail ?as though it's nice to see the protestant work ethic mentioned , I'm mystified as to which century this particular work ethic is from!.Serves me right for not paying attention at Bash St I guess?
It's also good to see RM's "leadership" are using Peter Seller's "I'm allright Jack " as the training video i.e. Oldest 50's spiv trick in the book -orchestrating & bullying people into strikes . Good Examples of duty of care and modern diversity by sending a 8mth pregnant woman out on delivery without training & putting the poor woman in hospital @ Watford .
You seem to borrow things from outside industry and regard all of it as gospel/fact like the two clowns running the service into the ground without understanding the nature of the service in the first place .Please change the broken record and try if it all possible to be original, positive & constructive.
