Interview tomorrow, no proof of NI number

Post by jay_em »

Heard on Friday that I have an interview with Angard on Tuesday morning. I've sorted out all the documents, but I can't find any proof of my national insurance number. I know what it is, I just don't have the proof they want. I had a letter with it from when I was first sent it, but I can't find it. I'm 18 so I don't have anything else to serve as proof.

Is this likely to be a problem when registering?

No old pay chits with it on ? Or correspondence from the Tax office.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have either of those, this is the first job I've so much as applied for.

No, but thanks anyway. Should I expect it to be a major hindrance?

I struggle to see how they'll be able to process your application without proof, but the best advice - though I appreciate it's not especially helpful - is to check with Angard.

It'll be no help in this instance, but for future reference: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ing-ca5403" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cheers. Yeah, 'interview' lasted all of 30 seconds without proof, which is frustrating but fair enough I guess.

I do now have proof of my NI number. I was instructed to contact Angard when I received it to organise another interview, but I'm guessing it's far too late now?
