Royal Mail Dispute
Further negotiations took place last week between the CWU and Royal Mail’s Chief Executive Adam Crozier. Following those negotiations proposed terms to settle the dispute were presented to the Postal Executive over the last two days.
The TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber has now invited both parties for a further meeting so that the CWU can clarify the remaining outstanding issues. In light of these developments it was also agreed to suspend the current round of industrial action.
This meeting has been scheduled to take place tomorrow (Thursday

Would be nice if they gave us some info instead of piss ing us about like this, not fair we are the ones that lost pay over this so the least the union could do is show us a little bit more respect

To me, this would indicate that the Union have pretty much accepted the offer. The above seems to say that most of the offer is acceptable but there are a few things that need clearing up. I would guess that having spent 3 days poring over the small print, the PEC may have found some hidden away terms and need clarification.tonysioux wrote:News

Have the PEC got a high price lawyer to look over the small print?
Spoke to a bloke who works for BT the other day (exact same union) and he said they got their deal with no fuss at all and that a lawyer was used to examine the deal just in case of any hidden strings.

a lot of Crozier's "buddies " from the FA said they wouldn't p*** on him if he was on fire before he had to jump before he was pushedbrisomerset wrote::cfo Wouldn't it be great if the cameras panned in on him.mrsmaisie wrote:I'm amazed that the next meeting can't go ahead until tomorrow. Is this because Adam Crozier is over in Russia with some old buddies from the FA watching the match later do you think?
