Yesterday the last outward mail was processed at POMC. As from Monday PO1-6 and Bognor go to SOMC. Very sad and we seem to have gone out with a whimper

Where does iow mail go now for processing used to be hovercraft then back.

ALL OUTWARD now at SOMC. IOW mail still comes by hover, 600 and 17 tonne vehicles into Pompey (the place not POMPU), but then it goes straight to SOMC.

More bad news yesterday.

RM have decided against having any distribution drivers at the new delivery office, so any transfers will be to SOMC. Only 54 duties though, so looks as if 20 odd drivers will be "leaving the business"

I'll be surprised if the DO is still there in 5 years time. An MPU is a delivery office that has got CSS machines installed.
