Sorted: A proud owner models one of the Royal Mail jackets

Have our postmen really been on strike or were they all in Holland? Visitors to Amsterdam may be forgiven for thinking the latter.

The high visibility waterproof jackets worn by British posties have become bestsellers in Dutch markets.

Branded Royal Mail coats are being snapped up by fashion-conscious clubbers and football fans who love their orange colour and logo.

took the badges off my stormproof with sharp scissors , not exactly enamoured with the "national institution " ( plenty of mgt that should be permantly in one with some useless staff& strike breakers ) 2 Prefer to leave things at the prison gates , who wants to tell everybody your job when out & the "witty & original " remarks . :funneh :funneh
PS I would submit some comments boys & girls i.e. "Why should I be mistaken for a lazy good for nothing postman " underneath the article -Yes the little Tory Bar Room bores & the middle class cretins with their uninformed nonsense.
Mr Aramani dealt quite well with the uniform request ,quite sensible for a RM group mgr

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Hope the IB are finding out who is supplying them. The uniform suppliers have been outsourced now.
One of our vans was robbed by people wearing RM uniforms earlier this year.

This could mean one of three hundred things, but I can only think of five at the moment:

One, we're all going to get new uniforms soon.

Two, Royal Mail are going into the fashion business.

Three, Royal Mail going to change their name back to Consgnia.

Four, some enterprising postie is using his noodle.

Five, the Chinese are at it again by producing fake branded goods.
We posties do things differently, but we still get shot at!

Our (other) men and women deserve a little more... http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/
