How long does it take for the contract to come in the post? I'm a bit worried I start tomorrow but the contract still hasn't arrived in the post! I got the offer last weds

Just checked my profile and it's gone from offer back to pre employment checks?????? I start tomorrow what's going on

From what I can gather from reading other posts everyone's experience is different and you shouldn't worry yourself too much. I start on Mon 23rd November. I've only had emails, no phone calls. So I've had to take the word of the emails to hand my notice into my current job. The 1st email I got gave me a link to provide info for security checks but the link just loaded an error page. As there is no way to talk to recruitment on the phone I've emailed the HR email address 3 times now and had no response. Since then I've had 2 emails, the 1st asking me to provide bank details for payroll and the 2nd offering me the job and saying my contract is in the post.

I'm not holding my breathe that it'll be here before I start, my main concern is when I go to my branch on the 23rd I hope they are expecting me. Never had a job before where I've had no telephone or face to face contact with the person offering me the job.

So I wouldn't worry too much. I think most people have a strange experience when being offered a job.
