It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Theres absolutely nothing wrong with needing a bit of peace and quiet to enjoy some Stargate Atlantis! You cant have people asking stupid questions like "Why dont they just run back to the bubbley gate thing?" or " Why is the city flying? " , or it ruins the story!

The previous Eastenders postie works at Mount Pleasant (or worked - haven't seen him for a while) and worked as an extra.
The new one must be a proper actor.

They deliver out of Belfast don't they, beautiful views of the Lough though.

Or perhaps you meant the one in Scotland just south of Knock Castle, again good views out across the water there as well.

Well at least they have someone in Eastenders who works for a large unionised employer. The only other one seems to be Gus who works for the local council (must be in the GMB). All the rest of them seem to work in local non-unionised small businesses, and there never seems to be any industrial action.
At least in Coronation Street the workers in Underworld (the underwear factory) go on strike from time to time, :nana although again nearly everyone else seems to work in local non-unionised small businesses.

So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
