new job

Post by jimkyle »

I have got as far into the process of being offered a job as hr calling me to confirm how much notice i have to give in my current employment last Thursdav and that they would be calling me back with a start date to then be emailed today and told that the position has been withdrawn and is no longer available, am devastated as been waiting a few weeks for this news, has this happened to anyone else? I cant find a contact number for hr as would just like someone to explain whats happened?

Not sure about the specifics of this role, but don't lose heart mate.

I had a similiar experience, passed interview, then waited ages, chased up the HR team, job no longer available.

Then a similar one in the same place came up, I applied, and it all worked out.

It can be very slow progress, seems to take a while, then it moves like crazy, keep a look our for job alerts, don't be afraid to ask the HR team (email) if there are issues, and you should be ok.

Good luck.

thanks Mich, have emailed asking for feedback on the whole situation to be told the position has been withdrawn, really bad on their behalf to get your hopes up so much and then drop you with no reason, royal mail contacted me initially after i was unsuccessful on my first job to offer me this position only to rip it away from me when I was under the impression i was so close to starting work, obviously not!!!

You may well see the same or similar role advertised soon, seems to happen, be ready to email them.

Good luck.
