On the automated email, Royal Mail say that they know about the issue and that IT are in the process of fixing it.

Re: Christmas Casual 2015
If your call relates to a rejected application, please note, there are only 3 sections that will cause your application to reject. These are 1) have you applied for or worked for Angard in the last 4 weeks, 2) have you applied for a Christmas job this year and 3) Are you authorised to work in the U.K.nothingatthemoment wrote:Yeh probably be fixed in time for next years Christmas Casualsahdamn wrote:On the automated email, Royal Mail say that they know about the issue and that IT are in the process of fixing it.

Re: Christmas Casual 2015
I also keep getting this when applying for a position as a Postman/Postwoman with Driving.
Its an automatic rejection and i don't know why. I have a clean current driving licence, no convictions of any kind, i am absolutely baffled as to why my application is being automatically rejected. Is there a contact number i can reach to try and work out why i am being rejected like this automatically?

Re: Christmas Casual 2015
you need to answer no to the question if you've already aplplied for a christmas job, even if you have. another broken thing about the site.
If I have an interview to the same place for different shift times do I only attend one, or both?

In the past you were only allowed to submit one Xmas casual application per cycle.klaxxs wrote:you need to answer no to the question if you've already aplplied for a christmas job, even if you have. another broken thing about the site.![]()
If you've tried to fiddle the system I suspect there's a very good chance your application will be cancelled further down the line.

Re: Christmas Casual 2015
May be somebody knows how many hours Christmas Casuals usually have per week? I asked this questions in Helpline, but the answer was - we are unable to guarantee the amount of work hours that will or may be offered to a casual employee. I understand, it can be more or less, but may be somebody has experience from the last year?

37.5 hours per week is the norm, I'd say.ruta wrote:May be somebody knows how many hours Christmas Casuals usually have per week? But, as they said, it is determined by the needs of the business.

Re: Christmas Casual 2015
Hi, wonder if you can help me. My son has applied for a Christmas Casual position and has an interview slot next week. He is at university and is travelling down by train and missing lectures so he can attend. I have read somewhere that people have turned up at the registration events to learn that the jobs have all been filled - is this a possibility?
Also he would not be able to start until Monday 14th December will this be a problem?
He is very keen to work full time for a couple of weeks and hopefully repeat each year but don't want him to travel for 8 hours if there is little chance of a position - I accept there is no guarantee that he will get the job.
Thanks
