The basic jist is this :
Attended an interview for postperson at my local depot on 15th October
16th October I got a call from a witheld number saying I passed the interview & they would like to offer me a conditional 6 month contract as postperson , 24 hours monday-saturday , 9am till 2:30pm, all subject to security checks. I was advised to wait for an email to arrive which should be roughly around 21st october to 23rd october.
Out of interest this morning I logged on the online application site to see my status said "unsuccessful" . the only method of contact I had was myapplication@royalmail.com , so I emailed them to ask if they could clarify the situation. an hour later I receive an email saying "congrats you have passed the interview stage" & to click a weblink to complete my details so they can then start the security check process. I click the link to then be taken to a screen with a completely different vacancy (this was saying Collection and Network Driver) than what I was told I had been offered & the screen said "failed to proccess the job application" . so I email myapplication@royalmail.com to ask if someone could call me to advise as I am very confused.
I happen to check the online section again & it now says "rejected"
30 mins later I get another email congratulating me on being offered a Collection and Network Driver position & to return an email with my details & that my start date is likely 28th october & that my hours were 1:30pm to 7pm . Again I am so confused that I email back to ask if someone can lease please please call me to let me know what is happening because I am getting so confused.
So far today I have not received a call.
Has anyone else had this happen? , if so can anyone provide a telephone number to call to speak to someone as I just want to know exactly what is happening?
