I think the FLF has caused nowt but bother.

Great buy everyone or every section a DAB radio.... what happens?? People start putting in H1 forms against each other coz they're radios can't be heard coz of the other section playing theirs louder than the other section.

See, whilst the FLF is a good idea in principle it has caused a work force to compete against each other and 'grass' on each other... 'divide and conquer' I think it's called. Yes, I know I am off the map on this subject, but in my previous post in this forum, I outline that FLF amounts roughly to just over £9m. 3 or 4 years FLF has been around for. It may have made a miniscule difference, but I think that money would be better used in our basic pensoinable pay.

I based my figures at a very mean of £3000. When actually, my office housing some 900 people over the 4 shifts (inc. weekenders) got £40,000 ...... mental isn't it????

£40,000.... so Mount Pleasant must have got a lot more than that.... what we should do is all put on here if poss, what actual budgets their office got, then you would know what RM are spending each year on this subject.

LOL, sorry, I have rambled and may be out of order with my comments, but it's worth thinking about how much this business hemorrages on silly ideas... don't even get me started on 'Royal Mail Way'.....

LOL!!!

the first year it ran we got some good stuff. they opened up another room in the building and gave us a small kitchen area with a few microwaves, fridges, freezers tosters etc. and we got a couple of pool tables (to fund the social committee) and a flat screen tv. Then they decided to put a load of regs on what the money can be spent on and we've ended up with all the crap that mdec101 has mentiond.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

one years FLF went on 2 sat nav systems, had a little run in with boss about that, something to do with me saying he would be the only bugger to use them when he went to France on his hol's. I was wrong, not only has he used them but so has another Manager and they have also been used for deliver of Specials and as a training office after a pmn had 1 days training on a rural and the rest by Sat Nav :chuckle
