A TEAM of Royal Mail staff have raised an impressive £3000 for Breast Cancer Care.
Starting at the Leeds mail centre, the team cycled 16 miles and then jogged a steady 14 miles into the Leeman Road centre in York.
Royal Mail worker Jon Morris organised the event after his niece Cathy Dean, a mum to two young children, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 37.
Jon said: "The day went smoothly without any major hiccups. We completed the challenge in 3hrs 49minutes. The sunny day made our final couple of miles a struggle. However, we all completed it together and a total of £3000 has been raised for Breast Cancer Care.
"Cathy is waiting for another operation and is keeping her spirits high. On behalf of Cathy and her family I would like to thank the runners and riders and all the people who has kindly donated."
