missing parcel

A member at my office delivered a tracked item unfortunately he left it on door step which apprantly he always does at this house and hasn't been a problem for the 15 years he's been on that round but the customer has said they haven't got it.

He's asking me what the likely outcome will be? Anybody has similar things happen?

Did the tracked item have any safe place delivery instructions on it? dom can find that out if needs be

and did he deliver it scanning as delivered or as delivered safe place?

and lastly was a signature required?

when you say "doorstep" I'd assume you still mean out of site.
we are told to hide tracked items if you feel its safe and to click delivered not safe-place, apparently this still fails but why have the option?
either way they should be able to use the gps to pin-point the location, then its denial of receipt to which again we are told we won't get in bother

Delivering it like that is not allowed either you can only leave it in the designated safe place printed on the item by the sender of the tracked item, what you are doing is still a breach of mail integrity rules

definately not allowed under any circumstances and poor practice for any postie doing this, anybody knowingly doing this really deserves any disciplinary action that comes their way for doing this.
