Hi Everyone, If you cannot wear Royal Mail supplied shoes for any reason,Can you still buy your 'own' and claim £30 for them.?

yes,but you will get a phones call from atos to explain your reasoning,if they except that you will receive a letter to confirm,give that to your line manager and you will receive £30 eventually ,but can takes months .P.S make a copy or take a photo on mobile as tend to go missing.(atos letter)

A colleague of mine is under atos, and bought their own shoes months ago,in fact the shoes are now wearing out i.e. tread etc, and still not been paid yet!in spite of involving local union rep.

I had no problems at all,saw the foot doctor at the local hospital,he put it in his report that I should be allowed to wear my own shoes/boots,I then told Occupational health when they rang me,they told the DOM,I now order shoes/boots from Amazon take the receipt into the DOM and I get my money in a week or two,hope this helps.
