Good morning all!
Im new here, and would be very grateful if someone could give me advice!
I applied for a Royal Mail Post job (delivery), passed the interview around 2 months ago, was told that another candidate had been given the job, BUT I was on the waiting list and to apply for any roles of interest, so there was an up side.
I applied straight away for another role, following the Waiting list candidate email route, after hearing nothing for a couple of weeks I followed it up, and was told again sorry these roles are no longer available!
I then recently re applied for another role, and am waiting to hear, my issues is I cannot see where my application is, if someone is actually actioning it, if my Waiting list status is making any difference etc etc.
Does anyone know what the score is in this situation? Is there any reason why I missed out again? Should also add Im in my early 40's, does this have an impact?
Im very very keen to work in this role, love being outdoors, no issue with bad weather etc etc, but seem to be hitting a brick wall.
Thanks to all in advance!

It's a bit of a mystery to me but I was also on the waiting list. I then applied for a post that came up and got it. I'm 54 and at least 2 or 3 other people on my induction day were of a similar age so I assume that is not a problem.
Good luck!
It doesn't get any clearer once you're employed - quite an extraordinary place to work!

Hi, I'm 47 and have just started so age isn't a problem.
