Hourly pay rate after 6 month contract renewal?

Post by yellowbelly »

Hopefully a recent starter who has had their contract renewed or one of the old hands can answer this:

I'm on a fixed 6 month P/T contract - if, after 6 months I get kept on (same hours and
hours of working), does my hourly rate go up from 9.36 to 9.89 as an extension
of my existing contract or is it seen as a brand new contract and I stay on 9.36?

Tks in advance

Goes up and you get a 3 month contract, then after 3 months you get another review. After 12 months your trial is over and your pay goes up again by another 50p and then you get 6 monthly rolling contracts.

100% it should go up, its not based on the type of contract you have, but on time served.
