Can any one advise,
I was, like a lot it would appear, successful at interview but others were better. I was put on the waiting list, and had a call yesterday to see if I was still interested. Which I am, but what happens next? They said someone would be in touch. Is this a job offer? Do I have to do another interview? I don't want to get my hopes up.

Its not an official job offer as they have to do all the checks, but it DOES mean you are one step closer. You probably wont have to do another interview as they'll have selected you based on the first one, but the local boss may prefer to interview you if the offer is at a different office.
