I'm very much a point and shoot employee (you tell me what to do and I'll do it until my finish time) but originally this was a Tuesday-Friday extra D2D that could be delivered with other items.
It is a big leap to change it to a 2 day delivery, let alone halve the time required for all the other D2D. On top of that it seriously affects the job by taking the call rate not far from 100% all week.

Seems very odd that there has been no communication with OPGs this week, to see if everyone is happy to complete their walks on overtime next week, due to the extra indoor and outdoor workload this will need.

Then they can at least try to resource properly, by asking "x" number of OPGs to work days off to cover IPS/delivery cut-offs.

Rather than looking puzzled most days next week, when many OPGs will turn round and say that delivery completion will require overtime (due to the extra indoor prep, call rate, weight of mail) that they do not wish to do.

Before we talk about the still lapsed duties! :left:

Had to actually argue my case for finishing on my time to my manager during election season when they tried to get me to believe i couldn't. This should be fun :dance

I was speaking to a bloke in my DO about these d2ds the other day and the resourcing for it etc. He is a failed lino - came back onto deliveries a couple of weeks ago. he said that all too often the information regarding things like this isn't passed down from above.
The idea being for offices to see how they get on as many will just do it and cope with few problems, thus saving loads of money on OT etc. Having read the LTB you would think that management would be all over it rather than risk having to deliver it themselves.

We're the GL area and don't have them according to rep who saw the spreadsheet, I know 1 GL DO do have some, but that wasn't whole area.

I wish we could see the speadsheet ourselves,, I'm off to look on CWU site to see if they have it there.

Been on A/l this week so no idea if we have them in my office but im presuming they will be being sent to Rugby Union stronghold areas which the only Northern team in the Premiership is Sale, so im guessing the south/south west of England,Wales and Scotland will be getting these and the rest of the country will be missed.

England must beat Australia on Saturday to qualify but the paper (if it is related to this game) assumes an importance that it never has and never will do.

Didn't hear a peep from management about this last week. Wonder what we'll get told tomorrow?
Already had an almost 100% call rate yesterday (saturday) with voters roll letters

I seen them in our office, I think its a magazine about soaps produced by the S*n. Oh well they're not on the duty I'm on Thursday and only about a fifth of my Friday duty, I imagine most of them will be delivered Thursday in any case.

But they just spring these things on us with no consultation or plan but we're all used to this by now!
