A postman was hospitalised for four days after he was assaulted on his rounds.
The postie, aged in his 40s, was attacked in Broom Road, Shirley, shortly before 2pm last Saturday and left with serious facial injuries, police have said.
He was taken to a south London hospital, and was discharged today.
Police have asked anyone with information to call Detective Constable Andrew Miller, of Croydon CID, on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously.
