I received my contract in the post this morning, therefore I have my pay number. I'm due in for induction this Friday and start the following Monday. When should I look at ordering my uniform? Now or once I've started?
Cheers

Re: When should I order uniform?
You may be able to order uniform but the order will not be authorised yet, you normally have to wait a few weeks, just in case you jack the job in.

Re: When should I order uniform?
I had my induction today, we were told that we could order it from today, but advised to wait till the first day and ask our coach what was best to order. Once ordered it'll take around 5 days to come.

Re: When should I order uniform?
If you are on a 6-month contract, you should have received a uniform order form with your contract.
As a new starter you can order a limited amount of uniform, as detailed on the form, and 'the rest' sometime later.
As suggested, I would wait until you meet your Manager to get their agreement. The firm requires their name to be added.

Re: When should I order uniform?
Thanks for replies. When looking online in the my catalogue section, the only things I can order are hi-vis jackets and boots/trainers. Also my contract is a 12 month one.

Ordered mine day after induction, which was 2 days before first day. I phoned up and they were really nice, Iet me order shorts and trousers, footwear, high viz jackets, shirts, polo's and fleece. Trial and error with the sizing and I've yet to get a pair of shorts that fit.Order came very quickly, I had shirts to wear on my second day of work :)

I know what you mean about the shorts Flora. I've got size 12s and they are a bit snug. Haven't managed to get footwear to fit yet either. The Magnum shoes in a size 6 are too big and the Anvil trainers are too small.Flora wrote:Ordered mine day after induction, which was 2 days before first day. Re: When should I order uniform?
Best if you phone for a uniform, online it only gave me a choice of shoes/boots and a high vis vest. When I phoned I'm getting trousers, polo shirts, a fleece and a coat aswell as boots
