A post box has been stolen from a wall in the Staffordshire Moorlands village of Cauldon

POST box thieves have struck again in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

A red coloured cast iron post box was this week stolen from a wall in Cauldon, near Waterhouses.

It comes after a similar Royal Mail post box was stolen overnight on August 24 from the front garden of a house on New Road, Dilhorne. and another which was dug out of the ground and taken from Uttoxeter Road in Draycott between 4pm on Friday, September 4, and 4pm on Monday, September 7.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: "We received a report of the theft of a Royal Mail post box at 7pm on Monday, September 21.

"The post box was situated in a wall in Church Lane, Cauldon. and is believed to have been taken between 11am and midday on Monday.

"The offender(s) damaged the wall removing the box."

Anyone with any information, or who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 581 of September 21.
