Applied online 7 weeks ago...

Post by lettergirl »

Did the online tests.
Status still says tests completed.
Have heard nothing. Nothing at all.
Is that normal?
I've tried the phone number for recruitment but my call is dumped instantly each time.
Soooo want the job. Feel desperate but that's because I've heard nothing.
Any advice please would be gratefullyr received.

7 weeks seems like an awfully long time. I think I heard within 2 weeks that I had been selected for interview. Have you tried emailing them? x

Thank you so much for your reply peshwaarinaan.
I'm feeling absolutely gutted right now at the thought that this wait might have been for nothing.
I've emailed them today but I'm dreading the response.
I'd seen myself in the job...sounds silly I know.

Hello lettergirl,

I did the online test on the 27th April
I got an email on the 12th May asking me to book my interview
I got an email on the 22nd June congratulating me on passing my assessment
On the 1st July i got an email saying I had passed the interview stage
16th July I got an email saying I had passed the pre-employment screening and informing me of the induction day details
and finally I got an email with the offer of the job on the 19th August.

Mine was a long process and i'm sure some go through a bit quicker.

Hope you hear something soon.

Well, another week has passed and I still have nothing. I don't even know whether I passed the tests.
I emailed a week ago but haven't heard anything.
I'm trying to stay positive.
Here's a long shot...
Anyone reading this work at the Lutterworth (Leicestershire) sorting office? That's where I've applied...

Who are you all emailing?

I can't even find an email or phone number for any person that deals with ROYAL MAIL recruitment.

Everything I find simply says that it is all done online.

That's great except I need to speak to a human.

Where are you all emailing the royal mail about recruitment processes?
