It came as the CWU executive discussed whether to accept a deal with the Royal Mail - its meeting is set to reconvene on Wednesday.

When did they go in for talks today? And when yesterday? Approx 8 hours of talks in two days. That's a normal shift we guys put in daily.

For people paid handsomely, they should be a) updating the membership on a regular basis b) working tooth and nail to get the best agreement - not swanning off to the local Chinese restraunt or wherever

This is beyond a joke now. Why amend it? Royal Mule aren't going to budge on what they want. Not unless severely forced to by us.

RM might allow some small changes if it would get the deal done.

But why can't we be told what the deal might be?

Is it the Union or RM management who insist on secrecy?

Yeah! If the PEC can ask for changes then WTF are we paying Ward and Hayes for? May as well let Royal Mule give their proposal straight to the PEC, cut out the useless middlemen.
