Just had 2 weeks off and the thought of going in tomorrow is making me feel sick. I hate the job.

Yep I'm looking to get out,worse company I've worked for yes the money's good but that's it,never get paid the right amount wk in wk out,full timers doing what they want,been here 3 & half years & contract not made up compared to the hours I work.the morale in our office has gone,it seems no one cares anymore..had enough ; (

Things are bad at the moment. Bad atmosphere at POMPU (we're not a mail centre any more ) - people just seem to want to score points, I know more than you etc etc. Apparently new delivery office for us on the way, perhaps a year off. Some 600 drivers will go there, some to SOMC and some EVRs

I had a nice holiday in the summer and didn't want to go back - first time I'd ever felt like that at RM. Very sad

Go sick with stress/depression, whatever, and use the time to decide what you want. You have full sick pay to support you.

I sometimes feel like this after my day off, never mind a week of annual leave

This is actually a common condition many, especially reserves, suffer from. My week off ended without dread because a mate rang me and said I'm on an easy with only 1 d-2-d this week. I usually don't want to know, and the Sunday before going back after my RWO is usually butterflies in stomach. OK this time but I know how you feel.

There are many in my office that counteract this dread by simply working every RWO so as to 'keep in the loop' and not have the unknown to face the following week, and thus mentally prepare themselves. A week off is for some quite stressful, a feeling of having no control or influence of what will happen the following week.

In fact, when I read back the 2 paragraphs I just typed above it sounds crazy that it actually happens to people. But it does.

Change office. If you put in for a transfer based on the grounds you have said you'd stand a good chance of getting somewhere quick.

From experience, you would not believe the difference from one office to the next.
