Link for ordering uniform?

Post by peshwaarinaan »

I've just completed my 6th week and have been told I can now order my uniform.

I think there was a link in an email but I can't find it. Can anyone direct me to it please?

pesh,

here u go - haven't you got any uniform at all? I've been in just over two and half weeks I've got stuff.

https://detail.dimensions.co.uk/Royalma ... sCookies=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

When I first logged on, it only gave me a limited choice, safety boots and trainers (not the waterproof ones), helmet and hi-vis.

I had to ring the helpline to get them to enable the system to let me choose shirts, fleece, trousers and polos and the anvil trainers.

Hasn't been enabled to let me choose waterproofs etc, I think that's the 6 week timeline.

Nobody has mentioned anything about a log on or anything like that. Do they give you login details etc?

Ladies and Gents,

have you had a look at 'My Royal Mail' website? Some good bits of info on there (you create your own logon for the website). But the particular
page you need for uniform ordering guides and the password is this link:

http://www.myroyalmail.com/working-royal-mail/uniform" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cheers

Thanks for that YB!

No I've been wearing my husband's shorts hoisted up with a belt and have been wearing his polo shirts too!

I really didn't want to fork out for clothes for work. A kind Postie in my office found me a fleece, a baseball cap and two waterproof jackets so I'll hold on to them anyway.

Many thanks for the links x

It won't let me log in even though I've created an account  .

I've emailed Dimensions Support and asked them to help. Nothing's ever easy is it? :cry .

Hi pesh,

you're right about the simple things being made difficult :arrrghhh

Not trying to teach you to suck eggs but you're not mixing up logins and passwords for 'My Royal Mail'
and the clothing ordering sites are you? They're two separate logins and passwords.

As a fellow newbie who joined around the same time, it's good to see you're enjoying the job too!

Cheers

I rang up and they were really nice. Let me order shorts, which wasn't an option online as I had only just done a training day. Just sending things back as the trainers were odd sizing the 5's were too big, even with the deep insole and now the 4's are too small with the thin insert  Going to order the Cat. boots once they receive the returns. Shorts also were coming up small, the 12's didn't fit but the 12 trousers did, not sure if I had a wrong sized pair or what, but will order a 14

I might have done YB. I'll have another look. In fact I probably have! How many weeks are you down the line YB? My contract is only for 3 months but I really hope they keep me on as I'm half way through now.

That's good to know Flora. I'm a 12'ish so it's difficult to know what size to order in trousers and shorts. At least you can send it back if it doesn't fit!

It's saying that it's a replenishment order and it's only allowing me to order footwear, hi viz vests and a cycle helmet!

pesh,

yep, see my first reply to you - after you've managed to log in and you see the limited choice you have to ring them up,
they confirmed who I was and then did a little bit of IT magic and a few hours later the option to choose shirts, trainers etc were there.

Still can't order waterproof yet though, think that's at 6 week point, if you've already reached that milestone you might be able to order
straightaway once they've tweaked your profile.

Pesh - just re-read your post and it rang a bell with the paper order form for uniform which I got sent in one of my original emails which quotes:

Only New Entrants whose contract of employment with Royal Mail exceeds 13 weeks are entitled to uniform.

Not sure whether this will have any effect on what you can order - you may need to investigate this further. Hopefully they'll sign you on for
more than 3 months - it would be a bit stupid to deny you uniform if they keep you on three month contracts, especially when it comes to autumn and winter!!!
