Support The Mdec's

Post by de-coded »

A friend brought it to my attention that MDEC may not be included in the 6.9% pay rise afterall as they are not OPG, as you can imagine people who supported the striking posties by also striking thus supporting the CWU, may in the end not be included and would have lost alot of money with no end result.

So I call on you posties when you come to vote on any deal if it turns out that MDEC's have indeed been ignored or not offered the same that you vote no. Its alot to ask but isn't everybody supposed to be equal with Royal Mail.

Any views on this matter is appreciated and I hope the person who was saying this at the MDEC was wrong.

As far as im aware you are and definatly should be covered under this deal if not then thats a good enough reason alone :Applause :Applause

i ve been down and had a chat with pickets at mdec in stockport, it was controversial when it was announced that you wouldnt be getting the same rate of pay as the postperson when they first opened these centres, the union should have been stronger then. i ask my area rep tom just to make sure but i think your covered!!

This should be a major CWU campaign. Pay parity for MDEC workers has got to come sooner rather than later.
