Then asked line manager for the phone number of people dealing with it and told its the in house people "ill get u the number "

Then nothing.

In that case you have not made a claim. Hence why no one has gotten back to you

As said above by TBT contact the union, also don't worry about being a while till now to start a claim as you have 3 years from date of accident to make claim
