Playing Devil's Advocate, maybe the PEC are picking out the 40 amendments, so they can slap the agreement round the heads of Hayes and Ward, as they tell them to ...."f***ing get back in & tell those tossers, this is what we are getting - not what we want, not what we are starting from, what we are getting. If those fuckwits can get £1m a year, then any postie deserves twice that - get your arses back in there & don't come back till you get what we want, or till you come and get your P45s."

Just a thought.

 I am assuming .. & hoping that the '30 mins' is the only bit about 'flexability .. that the NEC have conceded. We will not know .. for sure .. until the deal is put in front of us. I am not happy about the lack of National Agreements but if I'm stuck negotiating at a local level .. over flexability & later starting times then I shall just have to get on with it! We now have RMC to gauge feelings & plan strategies.

Its my guess that the PEC have come across some problems with the Deal Hayes & Ward got, otherwise we would'nt be hanging on tender hooks, why not keep us more informed, the PEC or at least someone from UCW headquarters must read the forums and surley know the troops are mighty restless.

They have now cancelled the rest of this weeks strikes,if the PEC do not agree to the deal and want the support of the membrship for more IA,i think some of the troops would be reluctant to down tools and loose more money, people i have spoke to in my office are looseing faith in the leadership, many are struggling this week to find cash for food and other bills(I am fully aware that some offices will not have any pay at all this week as they have been at on strike)

Come on Headquarters/PEC if there is problems at least keep the membership informed............

A bit of advice here, for the particular attenion of Messers Hayes & Ward
Niccolo Machiavelli wrote:"The Romans never allowed a trouble spot to remain simply to avoid going to war over it, because they knew that wars don't just go away, they are only postponed to someone else's advantage......" ".........You don't avoid such a war, you merely postpone it, to your own disadvantage." " One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves."
Have you got that? Or do you need to check The Ladybird Book of Renaissance Italian Political Philosophy first?

Its true the deal is very specific around flexibility it must be local not area, division or national it talks about local reps managers and staff coming up with their own plan.

ANYBODY THOUGHT THIS COULD BE THE START OF TEAM WORKING???

To let somebody off the hook once is bad enough, but twice now that is taking the urine.
