The Poles will be able to work in Germany and France soon so this should help the problem.

When they get fed up with this the screws will find someone else desperate enough to scab.

When the 8 Eastern European countries joined the E.U only Britain and Ireland allowed unlimited movement of labour from the start.

Just like the liberalised postal market we are always the ginea pig.

Our wonderful Labour government always looks after the working class.

Remember this at the next election.

Yes, Blair practising his "Look what a great and committed European I am" act. He however saw fit to opt out of this particular guise when any illegal wars came on the horizon.

I won't vote Labour again in a hurry. I won't say never, but they will have to drastically change their current policies for me to change my mind.
To think back in 1997 I was so full of hope. We might just of well voted the Tories in again!!!
I agree, stop funding Labour. They have no intention of helping us!!!

Instead of taking your anger out on Polish people, try directing it at the people who created this situation in the first place.

True don't blame the poles or any immigrant workers the fault lays in this corrupt Labour Government that is turning the clock back to slave labor of the Victorian 1800s :cfo :cfo :cfo :lfo :lfo :lfo :lfo

IMHO please be very careful - it's nice to be tolerant and have principles, but there are many companies which have somehow managed to legally shed their full-time permanent employees and replace them with cheaper foreign labour with barely a word in defence of the ex-employees.
Principles will get you nowhere if they have a job and you don't.
Around here virtually entire factories and warehouses are now manned by Eastern Europeans - the employment agencies claim that 90% of the names on ther books are Eastern European and that British people don't want to work. Where are the Brits that were employed there? Where are the Brits that were on the agency books?

Correct! I'd rather have a Polish worker than a British boss parasite like Leighton, Crozier, or any of those stooges they call managers.
The Industrial Workers of the World. The union whose members never scab!

I agree. Catch 22 situation. Postmen are being replaced by agency. Our union subs go towards, amongst other things, the CWU campaign for the rights of agency workers. A noble cause perhaps, but ironically in this day and age it`s agency employees that will be replacing CWU members as the main workforce for RM.
